Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre closed the Conference of Somali Scholars which lasted for four days in Mogadishu.
PM Hamza praised the Somali scholars for their achievements at the conference and for their interpretation of the war against the Al-Shabaab militants and pointed out that their statements was directed at all sections of the Somali community.
The Prime Minister urged the Somali people to listen and accept the statements made by the Somali scholars at the conference. He also stated that the government is ready to implement the proposals put forward by the scholars.
The conference brought together Somali scholars from both within the country and abroad. It focused on the relationship between the government and religion, the duty of the Somali government to protect religion and culture, the development of the country’s justice system and the views of Somali scholars on the terrorist groups causing trouble in the country.
The scholars clearly stated that these groups are terrorists who have spilled the blood of the Somali people.
