Mogadishu (SONNA)-The Somali National Army (SNA) conducted an operation in Barire area of Lower Shabelle region killing some of the militant group Al-shabab SONNA reported.
The operation was reported to have taken place on the outskirts of Barire in the Lower Shabelle region where the troops have successfully killed the militant leaders and a number of the militant group in the region.
The Army commander General Ahmed Hassan Siyad gave his concerns and said “the operation was well-planned killing the group members and their leader .The number of the deaths were 17 and others captured. As we are ready to eradicate the militant groups from lower shabelle region and their hiding places”.
