The Director General of the Immigration and Nationality Agency, Mr. Ahmed Saeed Mohamed, led a delegation to the annual Interpol conference held in Lyon, France.
The 19th Interpol conference, which saw participation from 196 member states, focused on critical issues surrounding the prevention of immigration crimes and the enhancement of global information exchange.
During the conference, Mr. Mohamed engaged in strategic discussions with senior Interpol officials. These talks were aimed at bolstering cooperation in immigration matters, facilitating the exchange of information, and sharing valuable experiences that could benefit Somalia’s immigration policies.
Accompanying the Director General was Mr. Mahad Abdi, serving as a Senior Advisor. Their presence at the conference highlights Somalia’s proactive approach to tackling immigration crimes and fostering international partnerships for a more secure and efficient immigration framework.
