Somali Gov’t Condemns terrorist attacks in Mogadishu, Baidoa towns

Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Federal Government of Somalia has condemned two terrorist bomb attacks that occurred in Baidoa town, the administrative capital of Southwest State in Somalia and the capital Mogadishu on Saturday Morning, SONNA reported.

Spokesperson of the Somali Government, Ismael Mukhtar Omar told Somali National News Agency that landmine blast at restaurant at Internally Displaced People west neighborhood of Baidoa town, killing 5 people and injuring 10 others.

He said that a suicide car bomb attack targeted Tax Facility near Mogadishu Port this morning, injuring 6 people including four Police forces.

” The Somali Gov’t condemns these terrorist attacks in Mogadishu and Baidoa town in the strongest terms possible, it commends the swift actions against Al-Shabaab militants’s intent  by the Security forces”, Mr. Omar said.

Al-Shabaab militants claimed the responsibility of the latest attacks.
