Awaza, (SONNA) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Isaak Mohamud Mursal, held bilateral talks with Turkmenistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, H.E. Ahmet Gurbanov, on Monday, August 4, in the Caspian Sea city of Awaza.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in political, economic, trade, and cultural fields. Both sides highlighted the importance of maintaining dialogue and exploring practical avenues for partnership. They also emphasized the role of international organizations, particularly the United Nations, in fostering peace and development.
H.E. Isaak Mursal expressed support for Turkmenistan’s peace-oriented initiatives and underlined the shared commitment to contributing to global peace and sustainable development. He also highlighted the significance of the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), commending Turkmenistan for its role in hosting the event and its efforts to advance international cooperation.
The talks concluded with an agreement to continue close diplomatic engagement and explore opportunities for expanded bilateral collaboration.
