Mogadishu, Somalia – In a phone call on Thursday, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, discussed the current situation in the region and matters of mutual interest to both Somalia and Egypt.
The conversation centered on strengthening the long-standing cooperation between the two countries. Both presidents acknowledged the importance of working together to address regional security and stability challenges.
President Al-Sisi also extended his congratulations to President Mohamud, the Somali people, and the government on the occasion of Somalia’s National Day, celebrated on July 1st. He expressed his well wishes for Somalia’s continued progress and security.
