Beijing, (SONNA) – The Somali Ambassador to China, Dr. Hodan Osman Abdi, held a general meeting with Somali business people and the wider Somali community residing in Yiwu, China.
This visit is part of the ambassador’s ongoing tour across various regions of China to assess the conditions of Somali entrepreneurs and the broader diaspora living in different provinces.
During the meeting, Ambassador Hodan listened to the concerns and challenges faced by the Somali community in Yiwu, particularly students and businessmen. Key issues raised included difficulties with visa regulations and residency requirements in China.
The ambassador assured the community that their concerns would be addressed in discussions with relevant authorities. She also called on the Somali diaspora in Yiwu to maintain unity and cooperation for mutual support.
