Mogadishu (SONNA) – December 1, 2024: The Deputy Commissioner of the Somali National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Dr. Ahmed Abdi Adan, inaugurated a comprehensive training program on disaster preparedness and response today at the NEOC National Headquarters. This crucial initiative, facilitated by SoDMA in collaboration with Qatar Charity, marks an important step in strengthening Somalia’s resilience against natural and man-made disasters.
The training program is designed to impart foundational knowledge on emergency preparedness and response, aligning with the international framework for disaster risk reduction.
