Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Somali National Army’s Ground Forces Commander, Gen. Sahal Abdullahi Omar visited the Middle Shabelle frontlines to encourage the troops in the fight against the terrorists. The areas he visited include Masaajid Ali Gadud, where the army is successfully conducting their operations.
The inspection of the General comes after the SNA and the local forces have had significant successes and huge blow to the Al-Shabaab militants in the past few days, and the army taking control over areas formally controlled by the enemy.
General Sahal commanded the National Army and the Local forces for their bravery and determination to defend their country from the terrorists and informed them to carry out their national duty and eliminate the enemy from all parts of the country.
The Commander also pointed out that the victories indicate that the army is now more capable to liberate all the territories controlled by the militants and their determination will prevail and bring peace to the country, and he urged them to continue fighting for all of the Somali people.
