Beledweyne(SONNA)-Shabelle river has on Tuesday flooded into Beledweyne city, the capital of Hiiraan region in central Somalia and forced residents to leave their homes while some are still trapped, SONNA reported.
SONNA learned that most of residents were displaced by the floods, and all means of traffic stopped except special vehicles aimed at for the use to rescue people trapped in the watering city.
The fear of the river to break its banks and make flooding water into the city was likely, despite efforts to manage and protect the possibility of the river to make flooding like the one happened six months ago.
