Mogadishu, Somalia – Qatar Charity (QC), with support from the people of Qatar, has distributed food aid to hundreds of displaced families residing in camps within the Garasbaaleey district of Banaadir region. This humanitarian effort is expected to significantly alleviate the difficult living conditions faced by these displaced families.
Each displaced family received a food package sufficient for one month, including essential supplies such as cooking oil. The objective of this aid program is to reduce the hardship experienced by these families and to meet their basic food needs, as they are in a precarious living situation.
The Director of Qatar Charity in Somalia, Mr. Abdul Fattah Aadam Moallem, announced that 350 families benefited from this assistance. He further affirmed the organization’s commitment to continuing its philanthropic activities to aid internally displaced Somalis.
The administration of Garasbaaleey District and some of the displaced individuals highly commended Qatar Charity’s role in assisting families affected by droughts who have sought refuge in Mogadishu. This aid was described as timely and greatly needed by the population.
