Bossaso (SONNA) – Puntland’s Minister of Homeland Security, Mr. Abdisamad Mohamed Gallan, has stated that the regional administration is ready for talks to end the current conflict that erupted in Bossaso between state security forces and the PSF continued into the second straight day.
In a press conference, the Homeland security minister said on Wednesday that they had agreed to a ceasefire and that they had accepted a request from peace activists, clerics and business people.
“We are ready for any dialogue that will end the fighting and end the displacement without compromising the rule of law,” he said.
According to reports, ten people have died at least due to heavy fighting and more reports of injuries, displacement and property damage.
