Bosaso, (SONNA) – The Puntland Security Forces have successfully captured Abdirahman Shirwac Aw-Saciid, also known as “Laahoor,” who was the mastermind behind organized killings for the ISIS-affiliated Daesh group. Laahoor surrendered after facing intense pressure from ongoing military operations in the mountainous regions of Calmiskaad.
He was presented in areas near the Qandala district of the Bari region after reportedly losing the will to continue fighting. The Puntland Military Court had previously sentenced him to death by firing squad for his involvement with Daesh and leading various bombings in the city of Bosaso.
This development marks a significant victory for Puntland forces in their ongoing battle against the terrorist group.
