MOGADISHU – In a significant step toward improving public services and healthcare infrastructure, the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, has officially inaugurated a project to provide electricity to 150 public health centers. The initiative is a key part of the government’s broader strategy to enhance basic amenities and ensure essential services are accessible to all citizens.

During the launch, Prime Minister Barre highlighted the critical importance of the project, stating that it aims to address the urgent need for reliable electricity in communities. The project will equip the health and education centers with “Green Energy,” a powerful and environmentally friendly power source that is expected to significantly improve the quality of services offered to the public.

This electrification effort shows the government’s commitment to expanding access to modern energy infrastructure. By ensuring a steady supply of power, the initiative is set to enhance the operational capacity of health centers, leading to better healthcare outcomes and a more robust social services network. The government is focused on expanding electricity provision to ensure that fundamental public services are maintained and improved for the public.
