Addis Ababa, (SONNA) – The Second African Climate Summit is set to open today in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, with African leaders, including the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, in attendance.
The summit will address the adverse impacts of climate change on the continent and seek to establish a unified African strategy to counter its threats.
President Hassan Sheikh will deliver a keynote speech highlighting Somalia’s national priorities for mitigating and managing climate change. He will also hold bilateral meetings with other participating leaders during the summit.
