MOGADISHU, Somalia – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today presided over the closing ceremony of the 6th Somali Youth Leadership and Innovation Summit in Mogadishu, delivering a stirring message of national optimism and empowerment.
Addressing a vibrant gathering of young leaders, innovators, and policymakers, President Mohamud declared that the nation has turned a significant corner. He affirmed that “Somalia has moved forward and has set its foot on the path of progress and prosperity,” signaling a new era of stability and development for the country.
The President’s keynote address focused heavily on the indispensable role of the younger generation in sustaining this national momentum. He challenged the youth to step into leadership roles, emphasizing that the state’s recovery relies on their energy, creativity, and vision.
“The country today has a great need for youth leadership,” President Mohamud stated during the ceremony. “For this reason, I believe that you are capable of accomplishing great things in terms of development.”
He urged the youth to actively participate in the extensive development projects currently underway across the country, noting that leadership and innovation are key drivers for modern governance.
