Mogadishu (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, received a delegation from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, led by Director-General Ambassador Patricia Danzi, who arrived in the capital, Mogadishu, today.
The meeting focused on enhancing the close cooperation between Somalia and Switzerland, particularly in the areas of good governance, the building of governmental institutions, and humanitarian aid, especially in light of ongoing droughts affecting both the population and livestock.
Prime Minister Hamza expressed gratitude to the Swiss government for its continuous support, especially in economic development projects, highlighting Switzerland’s crucial role in institutional building and climate change adaptation.
In turn, the Swiss delegation thanked the Prime Minister for his warm reception and reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting Somalia and expanding development projects to strengthen the essential cooperation between the two countries.
