MOGADISHU (SONNA) — The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in coordination with international security partners, has executed a precision operation in the Middle Jubba region, resulting in the dismantling of a major Al-Shabaab logistical and operational complex. The strike targeted the village of Arabow, located near the extremist stronghold of Bu’aale, effectively neutralizing one of the group’s primary centers for organizing terror activities.
Security officials confirmed that the operation resulted in the total destruction of critical infrastructure used by the insurgents to sustain their control over the area. The targets successfully neutralized included the group’s local political and administrative headquarters, as well as a specialized facility dedicated to the assembly of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The joint forces also struck the group’s propaganda apparatus, destroying the offices of Al-Kataib, the media wing responsible for disseminating extremist narratives and misinformation.
The raid extended to the group’s recruitment and training capabilities. A militia training camp and a residential compound housing senior instructors were leveled during the operation. The engagement resulted in the confirmed deaths of eight Al-Shabaab operatives who were present at the site.
The operation concluded successfully, further degrading the insurgents’ ability to mobilize and train forces in the Middle Jubba region. NISA has renewed its call for public vigilance, urging citizens to report any security threats or information regarding Al-Shabaab or Daesh to the agency’s dedicated hotlines: 199, 0770747474, or 0620545454.
