Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The heavy rains that hit many parts of the country has displaced more than half a million including the people residing in Jubaland, some of the needy displaced people reached Kismayo city to seek shelter and essential needs.
“Heavy rains and floods continue to devastate southern Somalia, displacing hundreds of farmers in Lower Jubba Region. Needy displaced individuals have arrived in Kismayo. The government is committed to providing essential support to the victims. Together, we can make a difference,” the Minister of Information said in a post on his official X platform.
