Mogadishu, (SONNA) – A delegation from the National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (NIEBC) conducted an on-site assessment of the Banadir regional administration to expedite preparations for upcoming local elections.
The NIEBC team met with regional officials to discuss strategies for accelerating the electoral process. Key areas of focus included streamlining voter registration, addressing logistical and security challenges, developing public awareness campaigns, and identifying and mitigating potential obstacles.
In the coming days, the commission will inspect voter registration centers throughout Banadir to assess their readiness and identify any areas that require further attention.
The NIEBC expressed gratitude to the regional leadership and community for their commitment to participating in the electoral campaign and cooperating with the commission.
