Music and dance groups are actively rehearsing and performing, drawing enthusiastic crowds and building anticipation for the significant national celebration.

In the Hamarweyne district, the renowned ONKOD Band is diligently preparing their repertoire for Independence Day. Their performances feature a selection of patriotic songs specifically crafted to honor this period, which holds deep historical and emotional significance for the Somali people. The band’s energetic performances are already attracting large audiences eager to partake in the pre-celebration festivities.

Similarly, the HEEGAN band is contributing to the Independence Day spirit in the Kaaraan district.
