Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Director General of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Abdullahi Hayir Duale, opened a training which was attended by 35 members including Heads of the Media and staff.
The workshop focuses on the adaptation of the National Media to the modernization of the media and the Development of the Editorial process and the Leadership of the cooperation of the working groups.
The training will last for three days and the instructors will be Ambassador Yusuf Garad Omar, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia who is a seasoned politician and a veteran journalist and a teachers who taught at the Somali National University.
The opening of the training was attended by the Director of the Department of Personnel and Training and the Director of Media Strategy of the Ministry who jointly organised this workshop.
The Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Abdullahi Hayir, said that the purpose of this training is to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the heads of the departments and the selected operators who have experience in the work of the Ministry and the Media Departments, and he urged the participants to take advantage of the training and teachers selected by the Ministry to facilitate this workshop.
