Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, Gen. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), presided over the monthly meeting of the Stabilization Affairs Technical Task Force today.
This month’s session, hosted by the Ministry of Internal Security, brought together directors from various federal ministries and agencies working on stabilization efforts. The meeting began with an address by the Chairman of the Task Force, Abdiqasis Ahmed Gurbiye, who provided an overview of the task force’s history, scope, and objectives. Additionally, progress reports detailing the Ministry of Internal Security’s operations, stabilization efforts, and the committee’s achievements to date were presented.
Minister Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag) commended the task force for its ongoing work and emphasized the importance of unifying messages on stabilization efforts. He highlighted the significance of engaging and raising awareness in communities recently liberated from Al-Shabaab militants. The minister concluded by urging the committee members to develop coordinated communication strategies to better serve the Somali people and support the government’s priorities for national stabilization.
