Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Family Affairs and Human Rights of the Federal Government of Somalia, Ambassador Khadiija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, paid an encouraging visit today to the “Hooyo u Hiili Qaranka” campaign center, where Somali women prepare cooked meals for the brave soldiers of the Somali National Army (SNA) deployed on the frontlines.

During her visit, Minister Al-Makhzoumi personally greeted the women, shaking hands with each of them as they diligently worked on preparing non-perishable food for the troops. In a show of solidarity, she even joined them in their efforts, highlighting the crucial role Somali women play in supporting the nation’s defenders.

Addressing the women, the Minister delivered an inspiring speech, praising their unwavering commitment to standing by their sons and brothers in the armed forces. She emphasized the importance of maintaining and even strengthening this support, acknowledging the critical role that such community-driven initiatives play in boosting the morale of Somalia’s troops.

The “Hooyo u Hiili Qaranka” initiative has been instrumental in providing moral and logistical support to soldiers on the battlefield, further reinforcing the resilience and unity of the Somali people in their fight against threats to national security.
