BERLIN (SONNA) – The Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. General Bashiir Maxamed Jama, conducted an official visit to the Somali Embassy in Berlin, Germany.
The Minister and his delegation were warmly received at the embassy by Somalia’s Ambassador to Germany, H.E. Abdiasis M. Mohamed.
During the visit, Ambassador Abdiasis provided Minister Jama with a comprehensive briefing on the embassy’s operations and its key priorities in serving the Federal Republic of Somalia. He detailed the mission’s extensive efforts in representing the nation’s interests and providing crucial consular services to the large Somali community residing in Germany.
Minister Bashiir Maxamed Jama extended his sincere gratitude to the ambassador and the entire staff of the embassy for their warm reception and dedicated service. He highly commended them for their outstanding work and success in elevating the level of cooperation between the two governments.
The Minister specifically praised the embassy’s role in advancing bilateral partnerships on critical issues, particularly climate affairs and security. He noted that their diligent efforts are laying a strong foundation for a long-term strategic partnership between Somalia and Germany.
Minister Jama’s visit to the embassy was conducted while he was in Berlin to attend the high-level “Climate and Security Conference 2025.”
