Mogadishu, (SONNA) – Anita Kiki Gbeho, the current Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, to Somalia (UNSOM) who spoke at the high-level meeting on Stabilization and Early Recovery said that the UN stands by the Somali Government and are ready to show support.
“We welcome this Stabilization process, it is a multifaceted process, including security, state building, coordination of operations in liberated areas and support. As the UN, we are ready to work with the agencies involved,” she added.
Kiki also mentioned the important issues of Stabilization such as recovery, and activities that should be done during the Stabilization period such as education, capacity building, institution building, service delivery and the construction of local government institutions, and promised that the UN they will support in the efforts of the Somali Government.
