Jubbaland Army Unites with Federal Forces to Combat Khawarij Groups

Kulbiyow, Jubbaland, November 29, 2024 – The majority of the Jubbaland Administration’s forces have officially joined the Federal Armed Forces’ operations aimed at combating Khawarij groups in the Jubbaland Region. This unification marks a pivotal moment in the fight against terrorism in Somalia.

The collaborative efforts were met with resounding approval from the people and the Jubbaland Administration’s forces stationed in Kulbiyow, who have warmly welcomed the presence and operations of the Somali National Army (SNA) in the region. This alignment of forces signifies a unified front against the Khawarij, who have long posed a threat to peace and stability in the area.

Residents of Jubbaland have expressed their support for the Federal Government of Somalia. However, alongside their support, they have voiced strong accusations against Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madoobe), claiming he has neglected the rights of the forces and failed to address the needs of the people adequately.

In recent weeks, the Somali National Army has launched a strategic operation in the Raas-Kambooni area, targeting Khawarij groups with the ultimate goal of liberating all territories within Jubbaland from these adversaries of peace. The operation shows the Federal Government’s commitment to restoring stability and ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens.

As the campaign progresses, the collective efforts of the Jubbaland Administration’s forces and the Somali National Army are poised to make substantial strides in the fight against terrorism.
