In a planned operation, the National Army, in cooperation with international allies, targeted Al-Shabaab terrorists in the Middle Shabelle and Galgaduud regions. The operation resulted in heavy losses for the terrorist group, with approximately 10 vehicles, including two BGs, one UD vehicle, and four technicals, being destroyed.
In addition to the destruction of the vehicles, a base used by the terrorist group was also targeted and destroyed in the operation. This dealt another significant blow to the militants, who have been facing increasing pressure from government forces and their allies.
The official number of casualties inflicted on the terrorists is still being collected and verified.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by the National Army and its international allies to combat terrorism and restore peace and stability to the region.
