Mogadishu -(SONNA)-Hibad Ali Dasar was the lead and founder of Ma’awisley, local forces who revolted against the terrorist militant group of Al-Shabaab in areas between Aden Yabal and Adale in middle Shabelle region in March, 2016

The uprising led by Ma’awisley forces was aimed at fighting Al-Shabaab militants who imposed strict rules on locals and forced them to contribute children to join the group and pay extortion money for levy and they take selected livestock by calling it ‘Zakawat’ which has no base in Islam because they’re terrorist group and a Government can only collect Zakawat from people in accordance with the Sharia law.

Heavy fighting between these Ma’awisley forces with support from Somali National Army and Al-Shabaab militants occurred at several areas including Gulane, Dara-salam and Bur-dacar from 2016 and 2018 when Hibad Ali Dasar, leader of uprising and his deputy, Nur Ali Jubbur martyred.

Al-Shabaab militants beheaded both heroes, Hibad Ali Dasar and Nur Ali Jubbur after deadly fighting at Bur-dacar village near Adala district in middle Shabelle region on October 1st, 2018.

To frighten locals, intending to make people accept to the terrorists’ demand, the group fighters took the head of beheaded man to several locations to show people of their horrific actions which disregard our decent religion. The group fighters threw the dead bodies into the only running borehole in the area according to the residents and his close friends.

“We were 13 members who revolted against these terrorists after we could not tolerate their ill-conducts, Hibad Ali Dasar, my childhood friend was our leader, we have been in many fronts until he and his deputy Nur Ali Jubbar was killed in Bur-dacar village under Adale district. they beheaded our heroes and put their heads into that water-well behind us now”, Mohamud Takow said, enjoying in peace and stability at Masjid Ali-gudud near Aden Yabal district in middle Shabelle region after their struggle to freedom.
