Geneva, (SONNA) — The Minister of Health and Human Welfare of the Federal Government of Somalia, Dr. Ali Haji Adam, participated in the 62nd Session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, held on the sidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) General Assembly.
Dr. Ali was accompanied by Dr. Guled Abdijalil, Director General of the Ministry, along with departmental directors from the Federal Ministry of Health and Human Services.
The conference brought together Arab health ministers and diplomatic delegations to deliberate on key health issues affecting the region. The gathering concluded with the adoption of important resolutions focused on supporting healthcare in countries facing humanitarian and health crises, strengthening regional cooperation, empowering the Arab Council for Health Specialties, encouraging pharmaceutical manufacturing, promoting medical tourism, and combating the spread of deadly diseases.
Minister Dr. Ali Haji Adam’s participation underscores Somalia’s active role in regional collaboration and its commitment to advancing the national healthcare system.
