Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Government of Somalia held a national funeral service for the recently deceased veteran Colonel Osman Mohamed Jelle who died in Melbourne, Australia on May 18, 2023.
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Speakers of both Upper and Lower Houses, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, and other officials attended the funeral prayer.
The President sent once again his condolences to the family and to the Somali people on the death of the late Colonel Osman and said that he took part in rebuilding the Somali Government. He also prayed for the deceased and asked Allah (God) to give him rest in his paradise.
