Mogadishu(SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Abdirizak Mohamud Abubakar, received on Sunday, at his office in the ministry in the capital Mogadishu, a copy of the credentials of the new ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Abdulfatah Abdullahi Hassan.
Minister Mohamed Abdirizak expressed his wishes for the new ambassador to succeed in his assigned duties in Somalia for the benefit of the distinguished and long-standing friendship between Somalia and Ethiopia, calling, in this context, to unify efforts in order to benefit from cooperation opportunities.
He also valued the bilateral consultations between the two neighboring countries on regional and international issues of common interest.
For his part, the new Ethiopian ambassador affirmed his country’s firm and supportive stance for the Somali people and their governmental institutions, expressing his happiness to work in Somalia and his aspiration to develop close bilateral relations and to coordinate with the interests of the two countries to enhance and enrich areas of bilateral partnership.
