Somali FM Receives Chinese Ambassador for Courtesy Call in Mogadishu
Mogadishu, May 10, 2025 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, received on Saturday at his office in the Ministry in the capital Mogadishu the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Wang Yu, on a courtesy call, and discussed with him potential avenues for deepening collaboration and fortifying diplomatic relations.
The meeting began with cordial introductions, during which the Ambassador extended congratulations to the Minister on his appointment as Foreign Minister. H.E. Wang Yu expressed China’s support and conveyed optimism for further enhancing the friendship and mutual understanding between the two nations, as well as fostering stronger collaboration in various sectors.
