Mogadishu(SONNA)-The forum in which Presidents of Federal member states had in Dhusamareb town in the past two days concluded and issued a communique suggesting the model of the upcoming election, SONNA reported.
The President of the Galmudug State, Ahmed Abdi Kariye, President of HirShabelle, Mohamed Abdi Waare, President of Puntland State, Said Abdullahi Deni called for the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia to the second phase of such talks, in order, to discuss and agree together for managing the national elections ahead.
The Communiqué comprised of the five articles below:
1.Strengthen the cooperation among Federal Member States of Somali Government in areas of politics, security and economic development.
2-The National elections should take place on the time, and not happen extension term.
3-According to the chairlady of the National Electoral Commission, the process of election (one person, one vote) could not be held on timely; therefore the technical process of holding the elections in the country should have a unified consensus.
4-The Conference calls on the President of Somalia and the Prime Minister and the Presidents of the Member States to come together to discuss the technical part of holding the National Elections in 2020/2021.
5- The FMS’ Forum thanks the International Community for its constant support in building Somali Statehood.
