Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, has officially opened the Second National Monitoring and Evaluation Conference, which focuses on strengthening the national planning system to accelerate implementation processes, enhance government institutional performance, and establish a unified framework for planning and oversight.
The Deputy Prime Minister said the purpose of the conference is to reinforce the capacity of government institutions, build stronger operational systems, and advance the country’s development policies. He emphasized that, following the conclusion of the National Transformation Plan, it is now essential to implement an effective national monitoring mechanism to ensure tangible and measurable results.
The conference, organized by the Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, brought together officials from across government institutions and representatives from the international community. Participants commended Somalia’s political and developmental achievements and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting and standing with the country’s public institutions.
