Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, today presided over the handover ceremony between outgoing Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, H.E. Fardowsa Osman Egal, and the newly appointed Minister, H.E. Mohamed Farah Nuh.
Deputy Prime Minister Jama commended Minister Egal for her dedicated service and significant contributions to the ministry during her tenure. He emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to modernizing Somalia’s transport sector, advancing policies and regulations, and enhancing the country’s economic infrastructure.
Addressing the incoming minister, Jama urged Minister Nuh to redouble efforts to strengthen the ministry’s services and ensure it continues to meet the needs of the Somali people.
The transition marks a continued push by the Somali government to develop key infrastructure and improve public services as part of broader national reform efforts.
