Belem, (SONNA) — The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, delivered a keynote address at an event marking the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, which focused on climate action (NDCs) and related financing.
The event, held as part of the World Leaders’ Summit at COP30 in Belem, Brazil, highlighted Somalia’s growing leadership in climate resilience. In his remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that Somalia has submitted its NDC 3.0 this year — a globally aligned framework reflecting the nation’s ambitious commitment to the Paris Agreement goals.
H.E. Salah reaffirmed Somalia’s dedication to implementing the NDC Financing Plan 2025–2035, aimed at mobilizing coordinated investment from the government, the private sector, and international partners. He urged global partners to support Somalia’s efforts to address climate change challenges and build sustainable solutions for the future.
