Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Isaaq Mohamud Mursal, has welcomed a senior United Nations delegation led by H.E. Claver Gatete, the UN Under‑Secretary‑General and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), upon their arrival in Mogadishu.
Deputy Minister Mursal stated that the visit reflects Somalia’s growing international partnerships and the progress being made across multiple sectors, especially in strengthening global cooperation.
He noted that the UN delegation will visit key government ministries that work closely with the United Nations and will engage in high-level meetings with Somali leaders to advance collaboration in development, humanitarian aid, and peacebuilding.
