Mogadishu (SONNA) – The police force of Howlwadag district in Banadir region have carried out an operation in Tookiyo neighbourhoods of Howlwadag district tonight after receiving an information from the local community.
Howlwadag District Police Commander Najib Abdi told the Somali National News Agency (SONNA) that the police carried out a planned operation to seize a field planted with the most dangerous cannabis plant of Marijuana and the tanks used for making alcohol.
“Soldiers have received help from the local community and this has enabled us to seize narcotics and cannabis plants planted in one of the buildings in Tookiyo neighbourhood and plastic bottles for boiling drugs,” said Commander Najib Arab.
The commander thanked the people of Howlwadag district for always sharing information with the police on threats to security and the local community, for which the police are working day and night to protect them.
It is a new phenomenon in the Benadir region to see a marijuana farm, which has now been blocked by the security forces.
