Ministry Family Condemns Brutal Abuse of Somali Girl, Calls for Swift Justice

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Ministry of Family and Human Rights Development of the Federal Government of Somalia has strongly condemned the brutal violation of the dignity and honor of a Somali girl whose abuse was carried out publicly and widely circulated on social media.
“This barbaric act clearly contradicts our Islamic faith, the noble values of Somali culture, and the rights, dignity, and honor of every citizen. It is the collective responsibility of all of us to condemn this heinous crime and ensure that those responsible for such a grave violation are held accountable,” said the Minister of Family and Human Rights Development, Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi.
The Ministry urged security agencies to swiftly apprehend those responsible for the horrific act committed against the innocent Somali girl and bring them before the competent judicial authorities so that justice can be served. The Ministry emphasized that holding the perpetrators accountable would send a clear message that criminals who commit such serious offenses cannot evade justice.
The Ministry also called on the parents, relatives, and all Somali citizens who may recognize the suspects to cooperate with security agencies in facilitating their arrest and prosecution. It further urged the public not to provide shelter or protection to those responsible for the crime, stressing that doing so would only contribute to the spread of injustice and criminality within Somali society.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the rights, dignity, and safety of women and girls and called for collective efforts to ensure accountability and justice for the victim.
