KABUL, Afghanistan – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has issued a strong condemnation regarding the Israeli regime’s recognition of the Somaliland region as an independent state. In a formal statement released on Sunday, the Ministry denounced the move as a calculated attempt to fragment the unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, warning that such actions carry no legal validity.
The statement characterized the recognition as a “clear contravention of international law” and a direct violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia. Kabul emphasized that targeting the unity of an “Islamic country” is unacceptable and constitutes a dangerous provocation with negative consequences for regional peace and stability. The Ministry asserted that these diplomatic maneuvers by Israel are devoid of any legitimacy or legal basis.
By framing the issue as an attack on the cohesion of the Muslim world, the Islamic Emirate aligns its stance with other major Islamic nations that have rejected the move. The statement reinforces the growing international consensus that the preservation of Somalia’s borders is essential for stability, while dismissing the Israeli announcement as an illegitimate act that seeks to sow discord in the Horn of Africa.
