Acting minister of information, Culture and tourism receives his South West state counterpart

Mogadishu (SONNA)-The acting minister of information, culture and tourism of the federal government of Somalia HE Mohamed Abdi Xayir(mareye) yesterday on Tuesday received the newly elected minister for information in South West State HE ilyas said Ali in his office ,SONNA reported.

The minister was accompanied by his Diretor General, and the minister of information culture and tourism in the federal government of Somalia and Directors of the ministry departments such as, Administration and finance, public works, television, SONNA and other members in the ministry.

The two officials inspected all parts of the ministry, especially the national television, Radio and Somali National News Agency (SONNA), the country’s news paper and shared the structures and how the state owned media serves its people.

“Today I welcomed the newly elected minister of information in South West State, Mr ilyas Ali and his Director General in my office. The two officials visited different departments in the ministry of information culture and tourism, each department shared it structure and activities they do to the minister”. Said the minister.

The ministry of information ,culture and tourism of the federal government of Somalia is undergoing major reconstruction, as well as equipping the state media and to strengthen its commitment to serve the Somali community.
