Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a productive telephone conversation with the Amir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations.
During the call, the two leaders discussed ways to further enhance the strategic partnership between the Federal Republic of Somalia and the State of Qatar, underscoring the importance of deepening cooperation and coordination across shared priorities.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud expressed his appreciation for Qatar’s firm and unwavering support for Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also commended the Qatari government for its continued assistance to Somalia’s federal institutions, particularly in the areas of economic infrastructure development, humanitarian aid, and state-building.
The call reflects the ongoing commitment of both nations to advance close ties and expand collaboration in support of Somalia’s stability and development.
