MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Joint Finance and Budget Committee of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, comprising members from both the House of the People and the Senate, convened a significant session today at the Villa Hargeisa center in Mogadishu. The hearing was dedicated to a detailed examination of the Federal Government’s proposed National Budget for the fiscal year 2026.
The session provided a platform for legislative oversight, allowing committee members to engage directly with the Ministry of Finance regarding the country’s financial roadmap. The Ministry’s delegation was led by the Minister of Finance, H.E. Bihi Iman Egeh, who presented a comprehensive overview of the budget’s structure and strategic priorities.
During his presentation, Minister Egeh offered an in-depth analysis of the 2026 fiscal plan.
