MOGADISHU, SONNA –A new educational institution, the Al Basiir School For The Blind, has officially opened its doors in Mogadishu, a landmark development aimed at providing essential educational opportunities for visually impaired students in Somalia. The grand opening was marked by a special ceremony and an award presentation for students who excelled in their recent exams.
The event, which was attended by community leaders and distinguished guests, featured a series of speeches highlighting the importance of education for all. The principal of the school, Ismail Ahmed Ali, addressed the audience, followed by the head of the school for the blind, Ms. Isma’il, and another speaker who spoke on the importance of education for the visually impaired. They all stressed the school’s role in empowering students to achieve their full potential and contribute to society.
