Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia held a special meeting today and approved the National Transformation Plan (NTP 2025-2029) to ensure the developmental vision of the country is realized.
The meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, also approved the Law on the Establishment of the National Center for Rural Development and Sustainable Solutions and the National Policy for the Establishment of the Higher Institute for Training and Development of Law.
The Law on the Establishment of the National Center for Rural Development and Sustainable Solutions is of particular importance for the development of Somali nomadic communities, providing a developmental framework aimed at reducing poverty and displacement while boosting the economy of nomadic populations.
The Council also commended the achievements of the armed forces and local forces in the ongoing fight against the extremist group Khawarij, successfully thwarting their plots against the Somali people.
