Belgrade (SONNA) – The Director General of the Ministry of Internal Security of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Yusuf Ali Mohamed, is currently on an official visit to Belgrade, Serbia, where he attended the annual Serbia-Africa Integrity Conference. During the conference, Dr. Yusuf held both general and private meetings with the Heads of Security of the Serbian Government and other participants of the conference titled “The Honor of Serbia and Africa.”
This prestigious conference, held annually, saw the participation of 51 African countries. It plays a crucial role in strengthening the long-standing relations between Serbia and the African continent, which have been established for more than a century.
The conference aims to foster numerous benefits by reinforcing the ties between Africa and Eastern Europe, with Belgrade serving as a central hub. It provides a platform for the Heads of Security Agencies from across Africa to discuss and collaborate on various security issues.
Somalia was represented at the conference by Dr. Yusuf Ali Mohamed, the Director General of the Ministry of Internal Security, and an Advisor to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In his address, Dr. Yusuf expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Serbia for their warm hospitality extended to the Somali delegation.
Dr. Yusuf also took the opportunity to congratulate the Somali Embassy and its diplomats for their tireless efforts and dedication in serving their country.
