Arusha, November 29, 2024 – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, along with a delegation he leads, has arrived in Arusha, Tanzania, to participate in a significant summit of the Heads of State of the East African Community (EAC).
During this momentous event, President Hassan is set to deliver a keynote address, highlighting Somalia’s dedicated efforts towards state-building, the development of economic infrastructure, and the mobilization of the Somali community to engage in trade, education, and development initiatives with their East African counterparts.
The summit marks a historic occasion where leaders will review the forum’s achievements over the years, and delve into the challenges and opportunities for deeper regional integration. Emphasis will be placed on improving socio-economic conditions and ensuring sustainable security and stability across the region.
In addition to his speech, President Hassan will conduct a series of meetings with other Heads of State from the East African Community, fostering dialogue and cooperation on various critical issues.
