Jowhar, SONNA – The President of the Hirshabelle State Government, Mr. Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlawe), visited the Mukay-dheere area to encourage officers leading the Hirshabelle Government Forces and the National Army in their operation to eradicate the Khawarij militant group.
During the visit, the Commander of the Hirshabelle Government Police provided President Ali Guudlawe with an update on the progress of the operation. The commander reported that the forces have successfully cut off the Khawarij’s supply lines in the Yaaqle area, leading to severe isolation of the militants.
President Guudlawe, reinforcing his commitment to the mission, stated, “I have come here to help you speed up the fight to eliminate the Khawarij from Hirshabelle.”
In a gesture of solidarity and motivation, Balcad District Governor Qasim Mohamed Noor presented a camel to the troops, honoring their selfless service and sacrifice.
President Guudlawe also announced that following the successful completion of the operation, efforts would begin on constructing the road connecting the towns of Balcad and Jowhar. This infrastructure development is aimed at enhancing connectivity and supporting the region’s socio-economic growth.
The President’s visit shows the government’s commitment to restoring peace and stability in Hirshabelle, and the collective efforts to eradicate extremist threats from the region.
