Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud chaired the meeting of the National Security Council, which discussed the acceleration of operations to eradicate the Al-Shabaab terrorists, the completion of the withdrawal of ATMIS, and the preparation for SNA takeover plan to ensure security when the ATMIS troops leave the country.
The President, was briefed on reports of the country’s security development plan, and he urged the security agencies to implement the Arms and Ammunition Control Procedures to be administered in the country, after the lifting of the arms embargo, and the success of lifting the arms embargo came after the implementation of arms control in the country.
